Mar 12, Kathmandu - Nepal’s various cities are experiencing a steady rise in maximum temperatures from Falgun 26 to 28. According to data from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, most regions are experiencing only minor temperature fluctuations.
The department reports that in the Terai and Madhesh regions, temperatures are gradually increasing. In Kathmandu, the maximum temperature on Falgun 26 was between 20-22°C, which climbed to 24°C by Saturday. By midday today, temperatures reached 25.4°C, with nighttime lows estimated to hover around 15-17°C.
Similarly, Siraha and Banke recorded the highest maximum temperatures of 31.1°C by midday. In Manang Humde Airport, the temperature was only 3.2°C, while in Biratnagar, temperatures are expected to reach between 31-33°C today. Nepalgunj is forecasted to see temperatures around 30-32°C.
In Gandaki Province, Pokhara’s temperature is expected to range between 26-28°C today. In the Himalayan region, Jumla may see temperatures between 23-25°C, and Jomsom is expected to reach 17-19°C. The Department predicts that over the next three days, most cities will experience increasing daytime temperatures with generally clear weather.
Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari states that the weather remains clear in most parts of the country today. “As humidity increases, temperatures are also rising. We anticipate a gradual increase in temperatures across Nepal in the coming days,” he added.
