Kuwait Extends Visa Validity for Nepali and Other Foreign Visitors Amid Flight Disruptions

Mar 09, Kathmandu - Kuwait has announced an extension of visa validity for all foreign nationals, including Nepali visitors, for an additional one month. The decision comes in response to the suspension of flights due to the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran.

According to a statement from the Kuwaiti Embassy, the extension applies to visitors holding valid visas in Kuwait. Specifically, visas for those outside Kuwait on civil IDs will be extended by six months for previous employees of companies and four months for domestic workers. For those staying outside Kuwait with civil IDs or dual IDs, the current extension has been adjusted to an additional three months.

This extension is effective from February 28, 2026. The embassy also urged all visa holders to contact their respective employers to renew their visas before the expiration date.

The embassy has advised Nepali nationals to stay alert and follow updates from Kuwaiti authorities through official news, directives, and notices.

Furthermore, since regular flights will only resume once Kuwait's airspace is fully reopened, the embassy recommended checking the Civil Aviation Authority's website for the latest updates on flight operations.
