Mar 09, Kathmandu - In Kailali, police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of his wife.

Thirty-year-old Saraswati Awasti Joshi was killed, allegedly by her husband, 35-year-old Dammarraj Joshi of Deuriya, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-7. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, when police reports indicate that Dammarraj attacked Saraswati with a sharp weapon, resulting in her immediate death at the scene.

According to police officials, Dammarraj fled the scene after the attack but was apprehended later from Oviri, Banke, by a team from Bakai Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-8. The suspect was arrested from Dhakeri Shamsherganj, Banke, after an extensive search.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are expected to reveal further details soon.
