Mar 06, Kathmandu - Rastriya Swatantra Party’s candidate Ashika Tamang maintains a commanding lead in Dhading Constituency 1. According to the latest update from Election Officer Ekraj Adhikari, Tamang has secured 1,752 votes based on counting from eight polling centers.
Her closest rival, CPN-UML’s Bhumi Prasad Tripathi, has received 1,092 votes. Other candidates include Nepali Communist Party’s Rajendra Prasad Pande with 733 votes and Congress candidate Krishna Rijal with 530 votes.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for a multi-party meeting at 11 AM in Dhading Constituency 2, after which vote counting will commence.
