Feb 21, Kathmandu - An elderly woman has died after being hit by a bus in Gorkha. 95-year-old Sukmaya Lama died after being hit by a passenger bus.

Police have stated that Lama died after being hit by a bus at Dashkilo Bazar in Gorkha Municipality-12 at 2 pm on Saturday.

Lama, who was seriously injured when he was hit by a bus (Na 5 Kha 5030) coming from Kathmandu to Gorkha, died at the Provincial Hospital Gorkha during treatment, said Rajkumar Shrestha, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gorkha.

Police have taken the driver and the vehicle under control and are conducting necessary investigations into the incident.
