Feb 17, Kathmandu - The printing of all necessary ballots for the upcoming HoR election scheduled for Falgun 21 has been completed. Yadunath Poudel, Managing Director of Janak Education Material Centre, announced that the Election Commission’s ballot printing responsibility was successfully fulfilled on Monday evening.
Starting today, all ballots will be packaged and dispatched to the respective provinces. Poudel stated, “We have completed printing 2,030,000 ballots for the direct election as of Monday evening. We commenced printing with a 42-day schedule and managed to complete it in 40 days. We will deliver all ballots to the districts within the next 10 days.”
The center was printing between 1.3 to 1.5 million ballots daily. Earlier, 1 million sample ballots were printed and distributed to various locations, and the center is currently sending 2.83 million proportional representation ballots to the districts.
Poudel also informed that all ballots have reached Karnali and Sudurpashchim Province, and efforts are underway to deliver ballots to the remaining areas within the next 10 days.
