Seven Escapees During Gen-Z Movement Arrested from Kathmandu Prisons

Feb 16, Kathmandu - Police have apprehended seven prisoners who had escaped from various prisons in Kathmandu during the Gen-Z Movement. The Kathmandu District Police Office announced the arrests today, following their successful operation.

The arrested individuals include 41-year-old Tenzing Bahadur Tamang of Nuwakot, 20-year-old Pritam Gurung of Dudhpokhari, Lamjung, 23-year-old Bawita Tamang of Punarvas, Kanchanpur, 22-year-old Bikram Nepali of ThatiPokhari, Kavrepalanchok, Bhuwan Tamang of Melung, Dolakha, Bhuvan Tamang of Fikkal, Sindhuli, and Indian national Roshan Shah.

According to Police Superintendent Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the seven have been charged with various offenses and are now in custody at their respective detention centers. They have been transferred back to their respective prisons to serve their sentences.
