RSP Made Public the Citizens' Agreement

Feb 15, Kathmandu - The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has made public the ‘Citizens’ Agreement’. The RSP has made public the citizens’ agreement, stating the work it will do in five years if it wins the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21.

‘If those works are not done, punish them in the next election and recover the money,’ the agreement states.

The RSP has pledged to build a multi-party federal democratic republic, a liberal economy with social justice, improved provincial structure, and transparent governance.

The agreement places corruption control and good governance as top priorities. The party aims to build a trustworthy state through policy, behavioral, and institutional reforms by conducting an ‘anti-corruption campaign.’

It has also pledged to expand digital delivery of government services, control intermediaries in services including licenses, and significantly improve the corruption index by 2086.

A plan has been put forward to increase the average annual per capita income above $3,000, increase the size of the gross domestic product to more than $100 billion, and expand access to quality health services, with the second priority being the expansion of the middle class. It has been mentioned that public education will be improved and the concept of 'integrated social security' will be used to increase access to modern financial services for the general public.

The party has presented the goal of reducing foreign migration, expanding formal and secure employment, and creating 1.2 million new jobs in five years, with the third priority being job creation.

The agreement states that IT, construction, tourism, agriculture, industry, and service sectors will be prioritized.

Plans include expanding quality road networks, increasing energy production, and completing strategic projects under infrastructure development.

The party has stated that it aims to expand 15,000 megawatts of electricity connection capacity and 30,000 kilometers of road networks in five years.

The agreement also includes commitments to ensure online citizen services for Nepalese living abroad, a debate on dual citizenship, and a safe foreign employment environment.

At the end of the contract, it is stated that the party will accept political responsibility to the voters if it fails to achieve the stated goal within five years, even if it wins a clear majority.
