Feb 15, Kathmandu - The production of the film 'Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola' has been announced. The official production of the film was announced during a special program in the capital on Sunday, on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri.
Actress Rekha Thapa is making a comeback in direction through the film. Rekha, who previously directed the films 'Himmatwali' and 'Malika', is making a comeback in direction after almost eight years.
Produced under the banner of 'Diya & Amu Films', the film will feature Madan Krishna Shrestha, Dil Shrestha, former Miss Nepals Shristi Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha and Niti Shah in the lead roles.
The production team has released two first look posters along with the announcement of the film. The first poster, which shows three actresses Shristi Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha and Niti Shah along with Dil Shrestha, suggests that the film may be a story of different aspects of love or a possible 'love triangle'. In the poster, all three actresses are dressed in gorgeous red outfits (lehenga and saree). Red indicates the depth of love, marriage and relationship. In which the closeness of Dil Shrestha and Namrata Shrestha is reflected, while the feelings of Shristi and Niti Shah seem a bit serious. This indicates that the film will be about different aspects of love, ups and downs in a relationship, and a triangular love story.
The film will also feature Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Poudel, Bishal Pahadi, Sangam Bhandari, Sujata Shrestha, and Binod Poudel.
The film, produced by Hari Narayan Shrestha and Maya Devi Shrestha, will have Sudeep Baral as DOP and Prashant Siwakoti as music. The film, with Rajan Ghimire as the film coordinator, will go on floors from the second week of Falgun. Director Rekha Thapa said at the event that the film is going to be based on incidents that happened in our own society.
Senior artist Madan Krishna Shrestha said that working under the direction of Rekha Thapa felt like he had entered a different world. He said, "I am not just a comedian, I have proven myself in serious roles through films like 'Paraan'. I will also have a strong role in this film."
