US Secretary of State Rubio Says Iran will Never be Allowed to have Nuclear Weapons

Feb 15, Kathmandu - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has made it clear that Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons under any circumstances. He claimed that Iran is a threat to the United States, Europe, the Middle East region and world peace.

He said this in an interview with Bloomberg during the Munich Security Conference held in Munich, Germany.

According to Rubio, the US wants to maintain its forces in the region because Iran has shown the ability and willingness to target US military bases in the Middle East. He said that the military presence is necessary to maintain a security balance because of the US's allies and military bases in the Middle East.

He added- 'The US wants to maintain its presence carefully so that no major conflict occurs due to any mistake by Iran.'

Meanwhile, he also mentioned that Donald Trump's priority is to reach an agreement with Iran. He said that even if such an agreement is difficult, the US will continue to try.
