Feb 12, Kathmandu - Ravi Khadka has taken the lead on the second day of the Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open, the fourth tournament under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26. Ravi has taken the lead by two strokes over Rame Magar with an overall score of 5-under 131 after the match held at RNGC on Wednesday. Rame was also in the lead on the first day.
Bhuvan Nagarkoti finished third overall with an overall score of 2-under 134. Dinesh Prajapati and Sanjay Lama are tied for fourth place with a score of 1-under 135 after 36 holes.
After 36 holes, 18 pros and 8 amateurs have made the cut. On the pro side, Kumar Kami, Nepal number one Niraj Tamang, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Deepak Magar, Tanka Bahadur Karki, Ram Krishna Shrestha, Suman Pariyar and Krishna Man Rajbahak made the cut.
In the amateur category, Mahendra Phagami, Swapnil Bhattarai, Prakrit Tamang, Saroj Thapa, Kishor Basnet and Prajwal Gurung have secured their places for the final 36-hole competition.
The winner of the tournament, organized by the Nepal Professional Golfers Association (NPGA), will receive Rs 150,000. The second-place finisher will receive Rs 150,000 and the third-place finisher will receive Rs 85,000. Similarly, the fourth and fifth-place finishers will receive Rs 71,000 and Rs 63,000 respectively. The top 18 professional players will receive cash prizes.
