Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Ltd Signs Agreement with Nepal Clearing House to Automate Payment Processes

Feb 06, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited (KVWSL) has signed an agreement with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) to automate its payment processes.

The signing ceremony took place on Magh 23, where KVWSL's Executive Director Ashok Kumar Poudel and NCHL's CEO Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan formalized the agreement.

Following the agreement, KVWSL's internal system has been integrated with NCHL's 'National Payment Interface' (NPI). This integration will enable the organization to make direct payments—such as salaries, vendor payments, government revenues, social security funds, and citizens' investment funds—through NCHL's IPS and RPS systems directly into bank accounts.

KVWSL stated that this digitization initiative aims to improve service delivery and make billing and payments more technology-friendly. Currently, NCHL's system is connected to 53 banking institutions and over 110 non-banking entities.
