Feb 06, Kathmandu - Veteran painter Ragini Upadhyay has distributed educational materials on the memorial day of her deceased daughter Shivata. On Thursday, Magh 21, Upadhyay distributed educational materials in some schools in Jhapa.

She distributed bags to students at Shree Bal Basic School, Kachankawal-6, Jhapa, and Shree Gramdevta Basic School, Rangeli, Morang. She informed that more than 100 students have benefited from this. According to her, financially disadvantaged children in the schools have been helped.

Upadhyay's daughter passed away due to illness at a young age. Since then, she has been helping students every year on her daughter's memorial day by establishing the Shivata Love Foundation. Ragini is the first female vice-chancellor of Nepal Lalitkala Pragya Pratisthan.
