Home Minister Aryal Meets with Indian Ambassador Srivastava To Discusses Election Issues

Nov 09, Kathmandu - Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal held a cordial meeting with Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava to discuss key issues surrounding the upcoming elections. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday.

During the bilateral talks, Ambassador Srivastava expressed confidence that the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 will be conducted peacefully and effectively, ensuring a secure environment. The discussion also focused on maintaining peace and security during the election process.

Ambassador Srivastava reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between the two nations, emphasizing a positive and constructive role in ensuring a successful election.

Home Minister Aryal highlighted the critical situation in the country, highlighting the government’s priority to ensure peace, good governance, and corruption-free service delivery. He assured that the government is tirelessly working to hold the election peacefully and without disruptions on the scheduled date.

Expressing gratitude for India’s friendly stance towards Nepal, Minister Aryal emphasized that the bilateral relationship remains strong and ongoing. He also highlighted the importance of India’s role in border security management, considering the open border between the two countries, especially during the election period.
