Election Commission Sends Response to Home Ministry's Draft on Granting Voting Rights to Nepalese Living Abroad

Oct 30, Kathmandu - The Election Commission is sending a response to the Home Ministry's draft on granting voting rights to Nepalese living abroad.

The commission is preparing to send a response today. According to Election Commission sources, discussions are underway on sending a response. An official said, "The response will probably be sent today."

The government is preparing to bring an ordinance to grant voting rights to Nepalese overseas. For this, legal arrangements are being made to grant voting rights to Nepalese living abroad. Under which, the Ministry of Home Affairs has prepared a draft amendment to the prevailing act and sent it to the Election Commission for suggestions.
