Dec 21, Kathmandu - A group led by Gen-Z Movement representative Miraj Dhungana has announced a protest demanding the formation of an all-party government.
At a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday, the Dhungana group made public the need for an all-party government, accusing the current government of betraying the Gen-Z Movement.
Dhungana announced that he would start a phased protest from Monday, claiming that the Sushila Karki-led government has not achieved any concrete achievements in its 100 days.
He said, “The Gen-Z movement in Bhadra is not to become a brand of any particular person or a ladder to someone’s political heights. No one should try to move forward by relying on the spirit of the movement. The Sushila Karki-led government could not carry the essence of the movement, nor does it represent us. Therefore, an all-party government should be formed now.”
According to him, the need today is a leadership that can take all political forces and stakeholders into confidence, which can provide a way out of the current crisis for the country.
Accusing the current government of failing to assimilate the spirit of the movement, Dhungana said, “The Gen-Z movement was not held to shift the 2084 election to 2082. This government has not shown any signs of solving the problem. Why does Sushila Karki repeatedly talk only about elections?”
